P2P cryptocurrency exchange Paxful continues its activities in Africa, this time promoting Bitcoin-funded charity activities. It has launched the initiative #BuiltWithBitcoin, which urges everyone to help those in need in Africa by donating with Bitcoin.
The exchange does not merely push its agenda, it actually takes action and participates actively in Bitcoin-funded charity. Paxful has partnered up with Zam Zam, a humanitarian organization “devoted to playing a vital role in eradicating poverty by providing clean, sustainable water, access to quality education, and more equitable opportunities to villages across the globe.” While their main focus is making clean water accessible to everyone, they also wish to empower people through education and by providing opportunity.
A recent project involves building a primary school in Rwanda. Paxful launched a crowdfunding campaign with the goal of R1.3 million. The exchange donated R263,000 in Bitcoin to start things off.
This Bitcoin-funded charity project isn’t Paxful’s first. In 2017, it built a nursery school in Rwanda with a donation of R660,000 in Bitcoin.
Giving is in Paxful’s DNA.
