In a recent survey, social trading firm eToro found out that education is the biggest hurdle to people making cryptocurrency investments.
eToro’s US division carried out the survey, which included various questions relating to cryptocurrency. The most significant insight from the study comes from the fact that respondents indicated interest in cryptocurrency investments but don’t know enough about digital currency.
In fact, 69 per cent of all the respondents – existing investors and non-investors alike – indicated a desire to learn more about crypto. Of those who have not made any investments, 75 per cent considered themselves not having enough knowledge.
Perhaps stronger evidence of the need for education is the percentage (of individuals with cryptocurrency investments) that stated they are being held back from buying more crypto because of lack of education in the space.
With the proliferation of information about cryptocurrency, it is clear that an initiative to provide clear, reliable, and accurate information about digital assets is in demand.
