The world-renowned London School of Economics is adding a stamp of legitimacy to crypto with its new online cryptocurrency investment course. Titled “Cryptocurrency Investment and Disruption”, LSE’s new offering promises to teach students practical skills such as evaluating initial coin offerings (ICOs), using wallets, and interacting with cryptocurrency exchanges.
Additionally, the course aims to “explore how cryptocurrencies and blockchain will shape the future of money, markets and industries”.
The online cryptocurrency investment course taps into the theoretical frameworks LSE is known for and makes use of modern, practical knowledge of the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry. From the course description:
During this course you will be provided with the information, knowledge and frameworks to deepen your understanding of blockchain technologies and cryptocurrencies – how they operate and the implications for business and the economy. You will not be given cryptocurrency investing advice, or investment or financial advice of any nature.
The online cryptocurrency investment course starts on August 14, with registration closing on the 22nd. The six-week course requires about 7 to 10 hours a week and it costs GBP 1,800 to enrol. As there are no prerequisites to the course, anyone may sign up.
